History
Istanbul, 2007
Pardus describes itself as an independent, privately owned company, founded in Istanbul, where its factory remains: the Dudullu industrial estate, inside the İMES industrial complex in Ümraniye. The company dates its start to 2007, after its founders had worked for the sector’s leading businesses.
The striking thing about its catalogue is not its size, but the number of mechanisms it covers within one product family. Almost all are shotguns —there are airguns too— and they include over-and-unders, side-by-sides, single-barrels, gas- and inertia-operated semi-automatics, pumps, lever-actions, bolt-actions, detachable-magazine guns and even drum-fed models.
That is also where the only invention claimed by the brand comes from: the LAX lever system, for which it says it holds intellectual-property rights and which it describes as the world’s shortest lever cycle. Alongside it it announced straight-pull bolt and bolt-release systems pending patent.
Only a small part of that crosses customs to Spain: 12-bore shotguns, in three systems.

12-bore. On nearly all of them, stock and finish change, not the mechanics.
Pardus AS
The walnut-stock version of the gas series, with a forward spring over the magazine tube. 8 mm ventilated rib and interchangeable choke; about 3.2 kg and supplied with three chokes, 1, 3 and 4.

The same gas series with a black synthetic stock. 8 mm ventilated rib, interchangeable choke, about 3.2 kg and the same three chokes: 1, 3 and 4.

Manual action by sliding fore-end. The models we carry are 12-bore with synthetic stocks.
Pardus PXD
Pump-action fed by a detachable magazine rather than a tube. Telescopic stock, pistol grip, top rail and handguard; about 3.6 kg.

Pardus ES
Steel receiver, automatic ejectors and single selective trigger, with walnut stock. About 3.4 kg and five chokes: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Hand engraving is a manufacturer option.
