History
Recording along the line of sight
A ScopeMate camera adds nothing to your aim. It clamps onto the scope eyepiece with a set of plastic inserts and records the image the optic itself forms, so what ends up on the card is what was in the reticle. Which is why the first figure to check is not the resolution but the eyepiece diameter: 36 to 48 mm on the S18, up to 51.6 mm on the S28 and up to 52 mm on the S28-TSC.
The brand belongs to Shenzhen Hawel Technology Co Ltd —that is how the legal notice of its official shop registers it— and its contact address is in Shenzhen. It publishes no founding year and no company history: it publishes spec sheets. Its catalogue also has an NVS night-vision series, which we do not distribute.
The rest is common to all three and says what the device is built for: an aluminium housing to withstand the recoil of powerful calibres, IP64 protection, a rechargeable and replaceable 18650 battery with up to 13 hours of recording, micro SD cards up to 512 GB, USB-C charging and its own Wi-Fi for previewing and downloading from the phone. The manufacturer gives a two-year warranty.
One detail worth reading exactly as the house writes it: the S28 Gen2 spec sheet opens by admitting that the first generation’s voice recording was not good and that this second one fixes it. It is not common for a manufacturer to put that up front, and it saves you finding out on your own.

The house's entry model. It records in 2.7K at 60 fps and in 1080p at 120, 60 and 30 fps, with a slow-motion replay that captures the shot at 120 fps and automatically saves it at a quarter speed. Zoom from 1x to 8x in 0.5 steps, focus from 3 cm to infinity, 52 × 107 × 102 mm and 260 g. Adapters from 36 to 48 mm.

ScopeMate S28 Gen2 4K
Steps up to 4K at 60 fps and adds 720p at 240 fps, with 2.7K and 1080p below. It is the generation that fixes the audio of the first one, which the manufacturer writes in the first line of its spec sheet. Six adapter inserts, 280 g and eyepieces up to 51.6 mm. No screen: previewing is done from the phone.

The S28 body with an HD touchscreen on the front: framing, focus and settings are done on the camera itself, without taking out the phone.
